LES PRIX / THE AWARDS

Paris Art Contest 2018 est arrivé à son terme. Nombre de candidatures de très bon niveau ont été proposées par des artistes de tous pays (Chine, Inde, USA, Japon … et de toute l’Europe), de tous âges, de tous styles. Après les délibérations enthousiastes du Jury, il a été convenu que devant la qualité de certains dossiers, nous devions adapter les prix. Il a été décidé de nominer un 1er Prix, trois second prix ex-æquo et un 3ème prix.

Paris Art Contest 2018 has come to an end. Number of applications of very good level were proposed by artists of all countries (China, India, USA, Japan … and all the Europe), of all ages, of all styles. After the enthusiastic deliberations of the Jury, regarding the quality of certain files, it was agreed that we had to adjust prices. It was decided to nominate a 1st Prize, three second prize ex-æquo and a 3rd prize

 

1er Prix / First Award: Mélanie Pasquier (peinture)

2ème Prix ex-æquo /  2nd Award : Siméon Colin (dessin), Soumisha Dauthel (peinture) et Saïto Mitsuaki (peinture)

3ème prix / 3rd Award: Fiona White (peinture)

Le président du Paris Art Contest 2018 et le Jury remercient les artistes qui ont participé et osé exprimer ce qu’il y a de meilleur en eux.

PRIX DU VAINQUEUR/THE WINNER’S AWARD

 

Exposition personnelle d’un mois par la Galerie Luc Berthier des œuvres sélectionnées en accord avec l’artiste. Un catalogue dédié à l’exposition sera imprimé. Le transport des œuvres aller et retour, assurances comprises, sera pris en charge par la galerie. Un séjour avec transport et hôtel pour trois jours pour l’artiste sera offert pour qu’il soit présent au vernissage de son exposition. Pour une durée minimale de deux ans, l’artiste sera représenté par la Galerie Luc Berthier à Paris dans le respect du code de déontologie des galeries françaises édité par la CPGA (Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art), et ses œuvres mises en ligne sur le site internet de la galerie.

A one-month solo exhibition of the art-works selected in agreement with the artist by Galerie Luc Berthier. A catalogue dedicated to the exhibition will be printed. Transportation of the art-works – to and from Paris, insurance included – will be provided by the gallery. A three-day stay with transportation and hotel accommodation will be offered to the artist to ensure his/her presence at the exhibition preview. For a two-year minimum duration, the artist will be represented by Galerie Luc Berthier in full conformity with the French galleries code of ethics edited by the CPGA (Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art) and his/her art-works will be displayed on the gallery web-site.

 

2 ÈME PRIX/2nd AWARD

 

Exposition de groupe à la Galerie Luc Berthier. Pour une durée minimale de deux ans, l’artiste sera représenté par la Galerie Luc Berthier à Paris dans le respect du code de déontologie des galeries édité par la CPGA, et ses œuvres mises en ligne sur le site internet de la galerie.

Group exhibition at Galerie Luc Berthier. For a two-year minimum duration, the artist will be represented by Galerie Luc Berthier in full conformity with the French galleries code of ethics edited by the CPGA and his/her art-works will be displayed on the gallery web-site

 

ÈME PRIX/3rd AWARD

 

Les œuvres de l’artiste seront présentées par la Galerie Luc Berthier uniquement sur le site internet de la galerie.

The artist’s art-works will be presented by Galerie Luc Berthier on our web-site.

 

 

Peintres, dessinateurs  et photographes ont été les bienvenus. Les candidats présentaient 4 visuels en haute définition de leurs œuvres, une courte biographie ainsi qu’une présentation de leur travail rédigée en 10 lignes maximum.

Le jury était composé de:

  • Jean-Pierre Arnoux, galeriste à Paris, Président Fondateur de Art Saint Germain des Près pendant 20 ans, trésorier et Vice-Président du Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (CPGA) pendant 9 ans
  • Elena Cardenas Malagodi, commissaire d’expositions, collectionneuse
  • Yves Créhalet, auteur, commissaire d’expositions, ex entrepreneur en communication, membre des jurys du Salon d’Automne, du Prix Paul Ricard et du Prix Accor
  • Viviane Esders, experte en photographie d’art, ex galeriste, commissaire d’expositions
  • Thierry Lagache, ex secrétaire général de la Fondation BNP Paribas (Suisse), initiateur des Prix « New HEAD Fondation BNP Paribas Art Awards »
  • Luc Berthier, galeriste à Paris, Président Fondateur du Paris Art Contest, membre du CPGA, commissaire d’expositions

 

 

 

All artists were welcome in this competition whether they are painters, drawers or photographers. Applicants have submited 4 high-definition visuals of their art-works. These visuals were accompanied by a short biography together with a written presentation of their work.

The jury was composed as follows:

  • Jean-Pierre Arnoux, gallery-owner in Paris, Founding President of Art Saint Germain des Prés for 20 years, Treasurer and Vice-President of the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d’Art (CPGA) for 9 years
  • Elena Cardenas Malagodi, curator, collector
  • Yves Créhalet, writer, gallery-owner in Paris, former entrepreneur in communication, jury member for the Salon d’Automne, the Prix Paul Ricard and the Prix Accor
  • Viviane Esders, expert in fine art photography, former gallery-owner, curator
  • Thierry Lagache, former General-Secretary of the Fondation BNP Paribas (Switzerland), initiator of the New HEAD Fondation Paribas Art Awards
  • Luc Berthier, gallery-owner in Paris, Founding President of Paris Art Contest, member of the CPGA, curator
